1914 American La France Speedster

The 1914 American La France Speedster was very definitely born as a fire engine. However, it was converted into a two-seater race car very early on in the USA. In the 1980s, the chassis was acquired by an American race boat restorer on Long Island, just outside New York. Long Island has long sandy beaches on which acceleration races used to take place. However, due to a move by the owner at the time, the chassis with engine was then sold via an online auction. I was able to acquire the item and have rebuilt it as an early 20th century style speedster.
